Finding a partner means sharing personal things. This page explains, in plain terms, what we collect, who sees it and how you stay in control.
1.Who we are
In short: EverTwo is a matchmaking service for adults looking for a serious, lasting relationship. We are responsible for the personal data you give us.
EverTwo (“we”, “us”) runs the website at evertwodating.com and the EverTwo apps. We introduce members to a small number of compatible people based on their values, relationship goals and preferences, rather than endless swiping.
This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who can see it, and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who visits the site or creates an account. For the rules of using EverTwo, see our Terms of Service.
2.What we collect
In short: The details you put in your profile, your photos, your activity on EverTwo, and basic technical information needed to keep you signed in.
When you create an account:
- your email address and password, or, if you sign in with Google, the name, email address and profile picture Google shares with us;
- your first and last name, date of birth and gender;
- your country and city or town;
- what you’re looking for (for example, marriage) and the core values you choose;
- between one and six photos of yourself.
When you complete your profile(all optional unless marked as required in the app): a short bio, phone number, languages, interests, the kind of partner you’d like to meet (such as age range), and personal details such as religion, education and occupation.
When you verify your identity (when this feature is available): the document and selfie you submit, and the result of the check. We use them only to confirm you are who you say you are and to show a verification badge.
When you use EverTwo: the introductions you receive, who you like or pass on, your matches, the messages you send and receive, reports you make or that are made about you, and your settings.
Technical information: your IP address, browser and device type, and the times you sign in. We need these to keep your account secure and the service running.
We don’t collect your precise location. Your matches are based on the city you give us.
3.How we use it
In short: To run your account, make introductions, keep members safe, and tell you about things that matter to your account. We don't sell your data.
- To provide the service: create and secure your account, send verification and password-reset codes, show your profile to potential matches, and deliver messages.
- To make introductions: we compare your values, goals and preferences with other members’ to decide who to introduce you to.
- To keep EverTwo safe: review reports, detect fake accounts and scams, enforce our Terms, and suspend accounts that break them.
- To contact you: about your account, new matches and messages (you can turn these notifications off in Settings), and, if you choose, occasional EverTwo news.
- To meet legal obligations: for example, responding to lawful requests from authorities.
We process your data because it’s needed to provide the service you signed up for, because we have a legitimate interest in keeping members safe, because the law requires it, or because you’ve given consent (for example, for optional profile details like religion). You can withdraw consent at any time by removing those details.
We never sell your personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
4.What other members see
In short: Members we introduce you to see your profile: first name, age, city, photos and what you've chosen to share. Never your email, phone number or date of birth.
Your profile shows other members:
- your first name and age (not your full date of birth);
- your city or town (never a precise location);
- your photos, bio, relationship goal and values;
- any optional details you add, such as languages, interests or occupation;
- your verification badge, if you have one.
We don’t show your email address, phone number, last name or date of birth to other members. Messages are only visible to you and the person you’re talking to, and to our safety team if a conversation is reported.
Please think before sharing personal contact details in messages. Once another member has them, we can’t control how they’re used.
7.How long we keep it
In short: For as long as your account is open. When you delete it, we remove your profile and photos, keeping only what we must for safety or the law.
We keep your data while your account is open. If you deactivate your profile, it’s hidden from other members but kept so you can come back.
If you delete your account, we delete your profile, photos and preferences. We may keep a limited record for longer where we need it to prevent a banned member from rejoining, to handle a report or legal claim, or because the law requires it (for example, payment records). We keep that record only as long as necessary.
8.Your choices and rights
In short: You can see, correct, download or delete your data. Most of it you can edit yourself; for the rest, email us.
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- correct data that’s wrong or incomplete;
- delete your account and data;
- object to or restrict some uses of your data;
- withdraw consent you’ve given, such as for optional profile details.
You can edit your profile, photos and preferences at any time in the app. To download your data, deactivate or delete your account, or use any other right, email support@evertwodating.comfrom the address on your account. We’ll respond within 30 days, and usually much sooner. To delete your account, you can also follow the steps on our account deletion page.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live; in Malawi, that’s the authority responsible under the Data Protection Act, 2024.
9.Security
In short: We protect your data with encryption in transit, restricted access and session controls, but no system is perfectly secure.
All traffic to EverTwo is encrypted. Only a small number of staff can access member data, and only when they need to (for example, to review a report). Resetting your password signs you out on every device.
Use a strong password you don’t use anywhere else, and never share your verification codes. We will never ask for your password or a code by email, phone or message.
10.Adults only
In short: EverTwo is only for people aged 18 or over.
We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. Registration checks your date of birth, and if we learn that a member is under 18 we’ll close the account and delete their data. If you think a child is using EverTwo, email support@evertwodating.com.
11.Changes to this policy
In short: If we make important changes, we'll tell you before they take effect.
We’ll update the date at the top whenever this policy changes. For significant changes, such as a new use of your data, we’ll notify you by email or in the app before they take effect.
12.Contact us
In short: Email support@evertwodating.com with any privacy question or request.
For questions about this policy or your data, email support@evertwodating.com. A person, not a bot, answers within 24 hours.
